I wanted to include resources and important topics about Puerto Rico on my website to not only bring awareness but to also shed light on my fiance’s homeland. A island that helped raise the man I love the most.

To help Puerto Rico, you can donate to charities below. Specific organizations like Unidos Por Puerto Rico, the Hispanic Federation, and PRxPR are actively involved in providing relief and rebuilding efforts.

Currently tourist are causing havoc over the lands most famous creature, the Coquí. The Coquí is a native frog that sings its own name. The frog is revered in art, music, and literature, and many Puerto Ricans proudly identify with the coquí, often saying "Soy de aquí como el coquí" ("I'm from here, like the coquí").

Many tourist are saying the Coquí is to loud and noisy at night. Causing them to have rough sleep. These tourist are now attacking the islands frog with bug sprays, chemical sprays, and more. Causing them to pass away. Not only is this animal abuse. This is taking away something that is not theirs. The Coquí belong to the people and the island of Puerto Rico. “This isn’t just about a cute little frog, though the coquí is very cute. It’s about identity, ecology, and the deep connection Puerto Ricans have with their land. The coquí is endemic to Puerto Rico, meaning that it naturally exists nowhere else in the world.”
